Strawberry Shortcake

Summer is pretty much here and the local strawberries are starting to show up at the grocery store. Sure they are super delicious on their own, but what about adding some carbs and heavy cream? What isn’t made better by those two food staples?
You will need:
Strawberries, sugar, biscuits, heavy cream
They sell little sponge cake cups at the grocery you can use, but I prefer biscuits. When I’m too paralyzed by the thought of having to was a mixing bowl, I’ll pop open a tube of Pilsbury. Love the press the spoon explosion! Next level in baking advancement: Bisquick mix. These will turn out considerably more light and fluffy than the Pilsbury tube and you basically add one ingredient and need to use a mixing bowl if you can handle it. For you advanced bakers you can make biscuits from scratch. It’s really not that hard. I was doing it every week last summer until my thigh issue returned.
Next you’ll want to mash up some of the strawberries using a fork or potato masher. Sprinkle on some sugar and let sit. I think you know how to assemble a shortcake. Here’s the finished product:
