Who Wore it Best: Rompers

Last month my sexy co-editor really slammed jumpsuits. I agree they are hideous but I am so in love with their cutesy slut of a little sister, rompers. If you want to make them sound even more fun, go ahead call it a playsuit or jumper. I’ve seen the online stores use both those terms in hopes of tricking humans into buying into this look. I’ve been trying for a couple of years now to rationalize rompers being worn in public. So far I’ve never seen a real life person over 5 years old pull off the romper look.
I have discovered on place where rompers are acceptable and kinda sexy: sleepwear. This is a fun and playful little piece to lounge around the house in. You’ll look cute and casual but without the pressures of outside. Another hint was passed along to me recently as well: Wear your lounge romper under a skirt or high-waisted pants and throw on some type of cute jacket. Now it’s just a cami to the world and you won’t be ridiculed for being a grown woman wearing a romper in public. It will be your little secret.
Jessica Simpson:
I think Jessica here made a wise decision covering her romper with an oversized shirt. Makes it look more like a real outfit. Still does not help with going to the restroom, but she’s a celebrity. I also have a celebrity crush on her and she can do no wrong.
Nicole Ritchie:
She’s skinny and insane. My two favorite celebrity qualities. Nicole you can wear whatever you want. It’s my dream of dreams to one day own sunglasses that large. Can we believe this tiny figure has birthed 2 babies?
Blake Lively:
Normally I heart all Blake’s outfits and spent 3 seasons watching Gossip Girl wishing I were a foot taller and 10lbs lighter. She’s usually got a great manicure as well and once wore the best pair of shoes I have ever seen in Vogue 2009. Despite all that, this romper is not working for her. Too boxy and sack-ish, 2 things I know about all too well in my own wardrobe. Sad face.
Kourtney Kardashian:
Another MILF for our survey. I really don’t feel any blog post is complete without a Kardashian mention and Kourtney is my FAVE. Not too crazy about this color on her, but I’m giving props to anyone who can have a baby and still rock a romper without looking like a pudger.

Skinny or fat; rompers should be thrown in the trash. I wonder how deciding that rompers should be the next “fashion trend” came about? Whom ever thought it was a great idea should be punched in the face along with the genius that thought stripes were a fashion go ahead!
Whomever thought rompers were a great fashion trend probably sleeps next to the genius that thought stripes were fabulous this year! Skinny or fat; rompers should be thrown in the trash. If a romper has stripes on it then set it on fire. Stripes are “ok” sometimes but it seems everything has stripes (dresses, skirts, shirts, tanks, bras, panties) Enough already.
